연구의 목적은 유아미술능력이 정서지능, 인지적 문제해결력에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아봄으로 써 미술 활동이 유아 교육 과정의 일부분으로 적용하여 유아 교육의 효과를 높일 수 있는 기초 자료를 마련하는데 있다. 본 연구는 김해시 만5세 유아 60명(남아 33명, 여아 27명)과 부산시 만5세 유아 146명(남아 69명, 여아 77명) 총 206명(남아 100명, 여아 106명)을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아의 미술 능력에 따른 정서지능의 차이를 분석한 결과에서 유아의 미술 능력은 정서지능에 우의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 미술요인의 하위 요인에서는 감상능력이 정서지능 중 자기 감정조절을 제외한 전체에 유의미한 상관관계가 있다. 둘째, 유아의 미술 능력에 따른 인지적 문제 해결력의 차이를 분석한 결과에서는 , 유아의 미술 능력 은 인지적 문제 해결력 전체에 유의미한 상관관계가 있고, 미술능력의 하위 요인들은 유의미한 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 위의 연구 결과에 비추어볼 때, 유아 교육 현장에서 미술 능력 향상을 위해 유아 자신, 자연, 주변의 물리적, 인적 환경이나 유아의 일상생활과 관련된 폭 넓은 예술 경험을 제공되어야 하고 .미술 활동 과 정과 감상, 표현 활동 간의 상호 유기적인 관계를 강조하는 미술 활동 계획으로 미술능력의 향상이 이 루어져야 한다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of young children's art ability on the emotional intelligence and cognitive problem solving. The study tasks of this study are as follow; 1. How is the relationship between young children's art ability and the emotional intelligence or the cognitive problem solving. 2. How young children's art ability affects on the emotional intelligence. 3. How young children's art ability affects on the cognitive problem solving. The subjects were 206 children(5 years old; 100 boys, 106 girls) of five kindergarten in Pusan and Gimhae City. They were surveyed and interviewed by the means of the adjusting scales developed by Jung mi kyung(1999), Jang sun mi(2007), Kim kyung hyee(1999), Park young tae(1999). Data was analyzed the corelation and regression analysis using the SPSS PC package. The outcome of this study is as follow; 1. Young children's art ability are related with the emotional intelligence, especially teacher relationship and self-emotion. 2. Young children's art ability generally affects on the emotional intelligence, particularly appreciation ability. 3. Young children's art ability totally affects on the cognitive problem solving such as pointillism, finding shapes and classifying shapes. In conclusion, this study proves that young children’s art abilities affects on the emotional intelligence or the cognitive problem solving. Therefore we should reinforce young children’s art activities to improve young children’s education
