The feasibility study on the night-soil sludge to use as a fuel were carried out in this study. For this purpose, the analyses of basic properties, such as the element analysis, proximate analysis and analyses of calorific value and the contents of heavy metals were performed. As a result of the feasibility test to use as a fuel, the caloric value of night-soil sludge is approximately 3,500 kcal/kg, impling the ability as a solid refuse fuel source. From the heavy metal content analysis, it is found that it meets the quality standard for the solid refuse fuel (SRF) regulation. For volatile matters and combustion index analysis, it shows the value between coal and wood pellet as it has low content of carbon. Consequently, the night-soil sludge used in this study can be used as a solid refuse fuel.
