Contact between Early childhood and nature is a very important activity for cultivating characters for Early childhood Education. It is because nature friendly educational activity leaves a profound impression in the minds of Early childhood. In the book titled ‘education through environment’ was emphasized as basic principle for Early childhood education. In other words, making Early childhood feel, think and develop through environment can be called as indirect teaching. Nature can become an environment which can keep such principle of Early childhood education alive well. In Japan kindergartens and Day nursery mostly have wide playgrounds or gardens. For this reason Early childhood have ample opportunity to move their whole bodies freely through hours at outdoors and also to be in contact with plants and animals even during hours they are kept at such facilities. As we have picnics or outdoor activities in Korea they also have such activities in Japan too. Through such experience they intend to instill attitude for respect of life, sensitivity for embracing touching emotion and sociability for consideration of others to the Early childhood.
