Oakeshott's ideas can be accurately understood when interpreted in educational theory. The aim of this study is to explore the curriculum rationale from the thoughts of Oakeshott. According to Oakeshott's theory of knowledge, knowledge means a kind of abilities to do or make, and these abilities are conjunction of what is called‘information' and what I shall call‘judgement'. Thus teaching consists in a twofold activity of‘instucting' information and‘imparting' judgment. At this time, in imparting of judgment, teacher as personal knowledge is found to be an absolute role model. The curriculum of M. Oakeshott was suggested as followed: First, the Oakeshott' curriculum rationale is to correct the very biased learner-centered curriculum. Second, the concept of judgement helps to clarify the tacit dimension of the concept of curriculum integration. Third, The concept of judgment provides the glimmering of a solution to the gap problem between core-competence and subject matter-competence in the 2015 revised curriculum. Fourth, the Oakeshott' curriculum rationale is to contribute to regain its status of teachers which over the years been often ignored in the class.
