이 연구는 예비아버지가 아동기에 형성한 원부모에 대한 애착이 태아기 자녀에 대한 애착에 미치는 영향의 경로를 알아보고 배우자에 대한 낭만애착의 매개효과를 살펴보기 위해 실시되었다. 임신 후반 기 배우자를 둔 예비아버지 182명을 대상으로 설문조사가 진행되었으며, 태아애착은 Condon(1993)의 Paternal Antenatal Attachment Scale(PAAS)로, 아동기 원부모 애착경험은 The Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment(IPPA)를 조소희(2008)가 번역하고 수정한 질문지로, 낭만애착은 Collins와 Read(1990)의 Adult Attachment Scale(AAS)로 각각 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 빈도, 백분율, Pearson의 적률상관분석과 구조방정 식 모형 분석을 통해 통계처리 되었다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 예비아버지의 아동기 원부모 애착경험 은 태아애착에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 배우자에 대한 낭만애착은 아동기 원부모 애착경험과 태아애착 간의 관계에서 부분매개역할을 하였다. 즉 예비아버지가 아동기 원부모 애착경험을 긍정적으로 회상할수 록 안정적인 태아애착을 형성하였으며, 긍정적인 아동기 원부모 애착경험은 배우자에 대한 안정적인 낭 만애착을 형성하여 안정적인 태아애착에 영향을 주었다. 이 연구의 결과는 예비아버지들을 대상으로 한 부모교육 프로그램의 기초자료로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of fathers-to-be’s attachment experience to parents of origin in childhood on their fetal attachment, with their romantic attachment to their partner as a mediating factor. The subjects consisted of 182 men in J province in Korea who completed measures on three attachment scales during the third trimester of their partner’ pregnancies. Data were analyzed by means of frequency, percentages, Cronbach’s reliability coefficient, and structural equation modeling through AMOS 20.0. The findings were as follows. First, the degrees of fathers-to-be’s attachment experience to parents of origin in childhood, romantic attachment and fetal attachment were all above the corresponding median scores. Second, the model proposed by this research demonstrated the effectiveness of using structural equation modelling as an analysis tool, showing that a romantic attachment had a partial mediating effect on a fathers-to-be’s attachment experience to parents of origin in childhood and fetal attachment, which was further shown by means of bootstrapping to be statistically significant. These findings suggest that there is a need for fathers-to-be to feel securely attached to their wives in order to form a strong fetal attachment.
