In this paper sought for Korean poetry and songs’ form education through dynamic correlation between
sijo and hansi, which have coexisted in literary history, by paying attention to what a form is a key
element of showing identity of genre while critically seeing that the form education in classical poetry is
being addressed only with fragmentary knowledge. Hansi and sijo, which had coexisted in the contemporary
period, are put in antagonistic relationships in formal aspect, such as the general form in 4 lines and 3
lines, a form in one verse of syllabic meter and foot, and literate age and oral age, etc. in Chinese
character and Korean language. This study emphasized that the poetry and songs’ form education needs to
be what considers mutual negotiation within dynamic structure between several genres.
