본 연구는 5개년도(2011-2015) 대학정보공시 지표를 활용하여 우리나라 4년제 대학의 학점관리 현 황을 분석하고, 학점 인플레이션에 대한 방안을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 조사대상은 한국대학교 육협의회에서 운영하고 있는 대학알리미(대학정보공시)를 기준으로 우리나라에 소재한 4년제 대학 중 대학교, 교육대학, 산업대학의 약 220여개 대학(사이버대학, 기술대학 등 제외)을 선정하였다. 본 연구 는 대학의 설립유형, 소재지, 규모, 계열에 따른 성적을 범주화하여 자료를 조사하였으며, 자료 분석 을 위해 빈도분석과 기술통계를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 2010년부터 2014년까지 계열별에 따르면 설립 유형별에 따르면 국공립 대학이 사립대학보다, 소재지별에 따르면 수도권 대학이 비수도권대학보다, 규모별에 따르면 대규모 대학이 소규모 대학과 중규모 대학보다, 인문사회 계열이 공학, 예체능, 의학, 자연과학 계열보다 학점이 상대적으로 높은 편으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구는 학점 인플레 이션 방안에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.
This Study analyzed undergraduate grade distribution according to the types, locations, scales, and subjects of universities in Korea. The data used in the study were from the academy information disclosure service managed by the Korean Council for University Education. The data were collected from 220 national, public and private universities except cyber and technology universities. Also frequency analysis and descriptive statistics were performed for data analysis. Grade inflation was higher national and public than private universities according to the types, Metropolitan than non-metropolitan universities according to the locations, Large-scale than small-scale and medium-scale universities according to the scales, in major of humanity and social science than engineering, arts and physical education, medicine, natural science according to the subjects, from 2010-2014. The implications based in these results were discussed with several suggestions and insights on grade inflation.
