본 연구는 초등학생의 공감능력, 정서조절능력, 반응적 폭력행동의 정도를 파악하고 각 변수간의 상관관계를 확인하며 공감능력과 정서조절능력이 반응적 폭력행동에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위한 연구이다. 연구대상자는 B광역시와 U광역시 각각 1개 초등학교에 재학 중인 4학년∼6학년 183명이었 으며 자료수집기간은 2017년 2월 1일부터 2017년 2월 8일까지였다. 대상자의 공감능력은 평균 99.23 이었고, 정서조절능력은 56.08, 자신의 정서조절 능력은 30.66 타인의 정서조절능력은 25.42점 반응적 폭력행동은 13.46점으로 나타났다. 공감능력, 정서조절능력, 반응적 폭력행동은 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 일반적 특성 중 반응적 폭력행동에 영향을 주는 요인은 성별이 었고, 정서조절능력의 하부 요인 중 자신의 정서조절이 반응적 폭력행동에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으 로 나타났으며 총 변수들의 설명력은 19.6%였다. 따라서 초등학생의 반응적 폭력행동을 감소하기 위 한 프로그램 개발이 필요하며 본 연구결과가 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
This study was done to explore the relationship empathy competence and emotional regulation competence on reactive violence and related factors. Empathy competenceon , emotional regulation competence and violent behavior scales were used as the measurement tools with a sample of 183 students from 2 elementary Shool in U-city and B-city. T-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 24.0 version were used to analyze the collected data. The mean score of empathy competence was 99.23, emotional regulation competence was 56.08, and reactive violence was 13.46. Empathy competenceon was positively correlated with emotional regulation competence. Empathy competenceon and emotional regulation competence was negatively correlated with violent behavior. Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that 19.1 % by the variables. Conclusion: These results suggest that earlier screening and intervention programs for low emotional regulation competence in elementary school student should be helpful in decreasing reactive violent behavior.
