The aim of this study is to investigate the empirical relationships among organizational citizenship
behavior (OCB), individual citizenship behavior (ICB), group cohesion, job satisfaction, and organizational
commitment. In particular, this study focuses on the mediating effects of OCB and ICB. To achieve the
aim, this study employed a quantitative method, such as a survey. Using a sample comprising
organizational members from general companies, this study found that group cohesion is significantly
related to OCB and ICB. Moreover, OCB has a significant effect on both job satisfaction and
organizational commitment. Finally, a test of the mediating effects of OCB and ICB on the relationships
between group cohesion and job satisfaction and organizational commitment revealed that OCB and ICB
mediated the relationships between group cohesion and job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
In conclusion, despite certain limitations, these findings could provide important theoretical and practical
implications.
