In this study, the factors showing effects in researches investigating effects of
the musical intervention for last 16 years are categorized to the psychological
factor group(negative and positive functions), physical factor group and social
factor group. Also, the effect size of intervention of each group is measured
through a meta-analysis while the change of effect size on each investigation
period is read through a meta-regression analysis. The study results show that the
size of entire effects of factors related to the musical intervention is high and the
effect size of all factor group is found to be high. In sub-factors of the
psychological factor group-negative function, except the problematic behavior
showing an intermediate effect size, all sub-factors show to have high effect sizes.
And in the psychological factor group-positive function, except the self-confidence
and the ego resiliency showing non-significant effect sizes, all sub-factors show
high effect sizes. In the physical factor group, all sub-factors show to have high
effect sizes while, in the social factor group, except the communication showing an
intermediate effect size, all sub-factors show high effect sizes. Lastly, according to
the analysis on the change of entire effect sizes on each investigation period, only
the physical factor group shows significant changes.
