현대사회는 빠른 경제성장과 조직화된 근로자수의 증가로 인해 노동문제 와 사회문제가 복합된 노동분쟁이 질적으로 심화되고 빈부의 격차가 날로 더해감에 따라 근로자간의 공정한 분배요구와 복지시혜의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 복지사회 건설이라는 시대적 소명과 경제개발을 통 한 지속적인 고도성장의 달성과 사회개발을 통한 복지국가 실현이라는 이 중과제의 입장에서 고도산업사회에서 근로자와 그의 가족을 대상으로 하는 근로자 복지 즉 산업복지를 외면한 채, 복지사회, 복지국가를 건설할 수 없 다는 명제 하에서 근로자 중심의 산업복지의 이념을 고찰하고, 산업복지의 사회복지적 성격에 관하여 연구함으로써 근로자 개인과 그의 가족에 대한 복지서비스를 확대하고, 우수한 근로자를 확보하며 이를 통하여 근로자의 잠재력과 경쟁력을 제고하고, 근로자의 삶의 만족도를 증진함으로써 기업 및 국가경쟁력을 제고하는 데 있다.
In modern society, labor disputes in which labor and social issues are mixed have increasingly been compounded due to fast economic growth and an increase in the number of unionized laborers, and there is a growing gap between rich and poor. Accordingly, laborers increasingly demand a fair distribution and more welfare benefits. The purpose of this study was to examine the ideology of laborer-oriented industrial welfare and the nature of industrial welfare as social welfare, and to provide some information on offering more extended services to individual laborers and their families, securing more excellent workers and improving their potentials, competitiveness and life satisfaction. It's basically meant to make a contribution to the competitiveness of businesses and the nation on the assumption that a welfare society and a welfare state couldn't be built without paying attention to welfare of laborers and their families, namely industrial welfare, in today's sophisticated industrial society, as the creation of a welfare society and welfare state and sustainable high growth backed up by economic development are the requirements of the present times.
