We are driving welfare policy by transferring 67 projects to provinces, including 13 welfaresupporting sector for senior citizens financed by national treasury subsidies of Ministry of Health and Welfare, as part of efforts by current participation government to decentralize the authority to provinces In response to this, this study aims to explore the problem and the task of policy by analyzing the current major status of welfare provided by senior citizens in Daegu city, along with the increase in the silver population and their desire for welfare. As a result, first, the income of silver population, who earn low income, has to be guaranteed and participation into the society by them has to be expanded. Second, the quantity and quality of rehabilitation service and facility medical treatment service have to be expanded. Third, the plan to ensure the welfare of seniorcitizens over mid and long-term has to be established and carriedout, and an active promotion for the local residents has to be launched. Fourth, an active policy to encourage pregnancy, such as child welfare benefits, is required. Fifth, an active effort should be made to secure the budget for the welfare of senior citizens. We presented the above-mentioned tasks of policy.
