본 연구는 컴퓨터를 통한 협동 활동이 유아의 사회.정서 발달에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아봄으로써, 유아교육 현장에서의 컴퓨터 교육의 효율성을 높이는 데 그 목적이 있다. 만 5세를 대상으로 실험집단은 컴퓨터 활동을 한 후 컴퓨터를 통한 협동 활동을 투입하였고 통제집단은 컴퓨터 활동만 투입하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 컴퓨터를 통한 협동 활동을 한 실험집단의 유아가 협동 활동을 실시하지 않은 통제집단의 유아보다 사회.정서 발달이 증진되었다(p＜ .05). 사회․정서 발달의 하위요인 중 동료와의 상호작용, 유치원에서의 안정감, 성취동기가 증진되었으며, 교사에의 비의존성, 내적통제, 호기심은 차이가 나지 않았다(p＜ .05). 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 컴퓨터를 통한 협동 활동을 적용하는 것은 유아의 사회.정서 발달에 긍정적 영향을 미치며, 따라서 컴퓨터 교육의 효율성을 높이는 방법이라고 할 수 있다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of cooperative activity through computer on children\'s social and emotional development and to provide the ways to increase the effectiveness of computer education in early childhood education. To identify the effects of cooperative activity through computer on young children\'s social and emotional development, the experimental group was exposed to cooperative activities through computer, whereas the control group was exposed to computer activities without any cooperative activity. In order to find out how the cooperative activity through computer influences the young children\'s social and emotional development, t-test was conducted. The results of study are as follows: The social and emotional development of the experimental group was better than the control group(p＜ .05). The results show that the cooperative activity through computer positively influences young children\'s social and emotional development, thus increasing the effectiveness of computer education in early childhood education.
