이 연구는 인터넷 게임 몰입 정도가 청소년의 가족관계와 학교 생활 적응에 미치는 영향에 대한 현실 자아 정체감과 사이버 자아 정체감의 매개 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 중학생 337명 , 고등학생 287명 총 624명을 대상으로 인터넷 게임 몰입 정도, 현실 자아 정체감, 사이버 자아 정체감, 가족관계, 학교 생활 적응에 관한 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현실 자아 정체감이 청소년의 인터넷 게임 몰입 정도와 가족 관계 및 학교 생활 적응의 관계를 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 현실 자아 정체감의 하위 영역 중 목표 지향성, 대인관계, 자기수용이 매개적 역할을 하였다. 둘째, 사이버 자아 정체감의 하위 영역인 사이버 자기 수용과 사이버 자기 주장이 청소년의 인터넷 게임 몰입 정도와 가족 관계 및 학교 생활 적응의 관계를 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 청소년의 자아 정체감을 현실과 사이버로 나누어 살펴보고 현실 자아 정체감과 사이버 자아 정체감이 청소년의 중요한 적응 문제에 어떻게 영향을 주는지를 밝혔다는 데에 중요한 의의가 있다.
This study observed the mediating effect of Reality Ego-Identity and Cyber Ego-Identity upon Family Relationship and School Life Adjustment as determined by the Degree of Indulgence of Adolescent\'s Internet Gaming. The subjects of this study were 337 middle school students and 287 high school students. The findings of this study are as follows: First, the reality ego-identity partially mediated relations both in the family and in school adjustment, in terms of the degree of Internet game indulgence of adolescents .In particular, goal orientation, interpersonal relationships and self acceptance played a mediating role. Second, cyber self acceptance, cyber self insistence and cyber ego-identity partially mediated relations that the degree of adolescent Internet game indulgence had on family relationships and school life adjustment. This study separated the ego-identity of the adolescents from their virtual and real components. The results is important in that it brings into relief the importance of reality ego-identity and cyber ego-identity in affecting adolescent adjustment problems.
