Recently, disabled population has been continuously increased. Especially, for the intellectual disability / autism among many kinds of disability, children who suffer from such disabilities show big differences in various areas when they are growing, compared to ordinary children. Sometimes, they have to live with multiple disabilities caused by unexpected temporary and permanent mental disorder. Therefore, they must be given continual protections during their entire life and their parents who provide cares for them would have big burden. As this study recognized reducing such burden of parents and empowerment to parents for integration into the local society as important elements, it was carried out to find effects of education of parents provided by a local welfare center on increase of empowerment. In findings, participants expressed overall satisfaction about the programs because they satisfied the preparation for the future of children with multiple disabilities by educating parents and formed family relationship with psychological stability by participating in all the programs. Also, it is shown that participants planned to increase empowerment to educated parents through forming a self supporting group and the programs helped to show direction for bringing up their children who have multiple disability.
