본 연구는 새로운 진로정체감 연구방법을 제시하고자 우리나라 대학생 243명을 대상으로 하여 진로정체 감 단계(VISA), 정체감 스타일, 내러티브 정체감 척도를 사용하여 진로정체감 상태를 분류하고, 진로정체 감 상태에 따른 진로태도성숙과 진로신념 수준에 차이가 있는지를 확인하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 진로정체 감 단계(VISA), 정체감 스타일, 내러티브 정체감은 진로정체감 연구에서 기존 Marcia(1980)의 제한적 분류 방식에 대한 새로운 대안 방법이 될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 진로정체감 단계(VISA), 정체감 스타일에 따른 내러티브 정체감의 분포에는 유의한 차이가 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 진로정체감 단 계 중 성취 단계와 탐색유예 단계 그리고 정체감 스타일 중 정보지향적 스타일에서 통찰수준이 유의미하 게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 진로정체감 단계(VISA), 정체감 스타일, 내러티브 정체감에 따라 진로태도 성숙과 진로신념 수준에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 진로정체감 단계(VISA)에서는 성취 단 계, 유실 단계, 탐색유예 단계가 높은 수준의 진로태도성숙과 진로신념을 나타내고 있고, 정체감 스타일 에서는 정보지향적 스타일이 높은 수준의 진로태도성숙과 진로신념을 나타내고 있었으며, 내러티브 정체 감에서는 통찰 수준이 가장 높은 수준의 진로태도성숙과 진로신념을 나타내고 있었다. 마지막으로 본 연 구에서 사용한 척도의 제한점과 이후 다양한 정체감 차원에 대한 연구의 필요성을 논의하였다.

영문초록

The purpose of this study was to classify career identity status using Vocational Identity Status Assessment(VISA), Berzonsky's(1992) identity style inventory, and narrative identity questionnaires. We also investigated the effects of individuals’ career identity status on career attitude maturity and career beliefs. 243 Korean college students participated in the study. The results confirmed that VISA, Berzonsky's Identity Style Inventory, and narrative identity were good alternative methods to identify career identity status. Second, there were significant distinctions among vocational identity status, Berzonsky's identity style, and narrative identity. Achievement, foreclosure and searching moratorium status had higher scores on insight level's narrative identity. In addition, information-oriented style had higher scores on insight level's narrative identity. Third, there were significant effects of individuals’ career identity status (VISA, Berzonsky's Identity Style Inventory, and narrative identity questionnaires) for career attitude maturity and career beliefs. Specifically, individuals in achievement, foreclosure and searching moratorium status had much higher scores on career attitude maturity and career beliefs. Fourth, individuals identified as information-oriented style had the highest scores for career attitude maturity and career beliefs, and individuals identified as higher insight level had the highest scores for career attitude maturity and career beliefs.
