본 연구는 난독증 선별 체크리스트를 표준화하고 초등학교 난독증 학생 통계를 추정하고 자 수행되었다. 이를 위해「난독증 선별 체크리스트」는 (1) 선행 문헌 및 선행 검사 분석, (2) 체크리스트 초안 개발을 위한 기초 작업, (3) 초안 제작, (4) 3차례의 예비검사 실시 및 분 석, (5) 최종안 작성, (6) 표준화 검사 실시 및 분석 등의 과정을 거쳤다. 표집대상은 17개 시?도 초등학교를 0.5% 층위표집 한 8575명이었다. 연구결과로서, 27문항의「난독증 선별 체크리스트」를 표준화하였으며, 이 체크리스트를 사용하여 난독증을 선별하는데 적합하며, 각 학년별 표준 점수나 백분위 보다는 전체 규준으로 난독증을 선별하는 데에는 무리가 없 는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 이 체크리스트를 사용할 경우 초등학교 학생들의 난독증의 추정 치는 1%로 나왔으며, 난독증 고위험군은 2.2%, 난독증 저위험군은 1.4%로 추정되었다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 몇몇 이슈에 대해 논의를 제시하고 있다.
This study was performed to standardize a Dyslexia Screening Checklist (DySC) and to estimate the prevalence of Korean students with dyslexia. To do these, we established six steps as research design. First, we analyzed previous research results and literature review. Second, the initial work was undertaken to develop the DySC. Third, the first items for the DySC were developed, and fourthly, three different pilot studies were performed to testify its validity and reliability. Fifth, the final items were selected for the DySC. Sixth, the standardization procedure and analysis were proceeded. The .5% of elementary schoolers were sampled by stratification and computerized random method through 17 metro-city and province school districts as all Korean School Districts. The sample population included 8575 elementary students from first to sixth grade. As research results, the DySC was standardized with 27 items and the prevalence of elementary students with dyslexia was estimated 1%. in Korea. According to these results, some issues were discussed.
