The development of human resources with creative education competency is most needed in this
uncertain and complex global world for the economic growth and sustainable competitive power of the
country. In this study, the problem of how to implement creativity education programs for pre-service
prospective students has been examined, For the purpose of the study, a comparative study of a teachers
college (named D) and a general college(termed S) students’ perception of creativity and creative
leadership was conducted. 259 students from the both colleges participated in the surveys consisting of a
integrative creative test and a creative leadership test, each developed and validated in Korean contexts.
Data were statistically processed using t- test by SPSS win 12.0 Program. The main results showed that
in the areas of creativity and creative leadership, a general college students’ perception is much higher
than that of teachers college students and that there is a significant difference in the two college groups
(p<.05). On the other hand, some diversities were found in the areas of sub-factors regarding the creative
ability and the creative disposition and dimensions of creative leadership, These results would suggest that
in near future creative teaching and creative leadership enhancement programs for pre-service prospective
students should be developed and implemented in the curriculum of higher education.
