This research surveyed the effects on the characteristic of voluntary service and voluntary service itself on the life-satisfaction through two times of simple random sampling to baby-boomers dwelling in Daegu in 2013 and 2018 and analyzed the cohort. The main results of this research are following. First, there was not socio-demographic characteristic distinction between the baby-boomers in 2013 and 2018, but there were a number of respondents in 2018 at the status of unemployed for retirement, so it implied that there was a flow of retirement of baby-boomers currently. Second, the sphere of voluntary service of baby-boomers was mainly simple-effort voluntary service which resembles that of pre-baby-boomers, however, baby-boomers who experienced better education and abundant work experience comparing to pre-baby-boomers wanted the professional voluntary service. Third, there were distinction in participation attitude, satisfaction level and life-satisfaction between characteristic of voluntary service of baby-boomers in 2013 and 2018. Finally, forth, this research used multiple regression analysis to discover the effect of the voluntary service of baby-boomers to life-satisfaction, and it is verified that the participation attitude affects relevantly on the life-satisfaction.
