본 연구에서는 생활창의동화책 읽어주기 활동이 유아의 조망수용능력에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 확인함으로써 유아교육 현장에 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 교수활동을 개발하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 대상은 조망수용능력이 유사한 만 5세 유아 38명이며, 대상 선정 후 각 16명씩 실험집단과 통제집단에 무선 배정하였다. 조망수용능력 측정도구는 Hudson, Forman과 Brion(1982)의 조망수용 도구를 신현옥(1996)이 번역하여 수정․보완한 것을 사용하였다. 생활창의동화책 읽어주기 활동을 실시한 실험집단의 유아와 다른 장르의 동화책 읽어주기 활동을 실시한 통제집단 유아들에 대한 12차시 실험 후 사후검사를 실시하여, 그 결과는 SPSS 14.0 프로그램을 사용하여 t-test를 실시하여 집단 간 차이를 검증하였다. 연구결과는 유아들에게 생활창의 동화책 읽어주기 활동을 실시한 결과 유아의 조망수용능력의 하위요인, 즉 인지 조망수용능력(타인 의도조망능력, 타인 사고조망능력)과 감정 조망수용능력이 향상되었다. 결론적으로 생활창의동화책 읽어주기 활동을 경험한 유아들이 다른 장르의 동화책 읽어주기 활동을 경험한 유아들에 비해 조망수용능력이 향상되었음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 생활창의동화책 읽어주기 활동을 유아교육현장에서 적극 활용한다면 유아들의 조망수용능력을 증진시켜 유아의 사회적 능력을 발달시키는데 적절한 교수방법이 될 것이다.
The objective of this study was to identify the effect of storytelling activity using creative storybook on young children's perspective-taking ability, and so set the two research problems and verified. The research problems were as follows; 1. Will the story telling activity using creative storybook effect on fostering the young children's cognitive perspective-taking ability? 2. Will the story telling activity using creative storybook effect on fostering the young children's emotional perspective-taking ability? The thirty eight 5 years old children were selected randomly as participants of this study and then random allocated to the experimental group and control group equally. Pre and post test were performed on the two groups. The 12 creative storybooks that were related to the child's everyday life for experiment were carefully selected. The story telling activity using the creative storybooks applied to the experimental group and the regular program of kindergarten was applied to the control group. Total 12 sessions were performed and the gathered data were analyzed (t-test) using SPSS 14.0. According to the results, the story telling activity using creative storybook was effective on the fostering of young children's perspective-taking ability. Hence, utilization of such the story telling activity using creative storybook will have a positive influence on fostering a child's perspective-taking ability, providing the users with an apt teaching method for developing a child's social ability. key word: creative storybook, story telling, perspective-taking ability.
