The objective of this study was to identify the effect of storytelling activity using creative storybook on young children's perspective-taking ability, and so set the two research problems and verified. The research problems were as follows;
1. Will the story telling activity using creative storybook effect on fostering the young children's cognitive perspective-taking ability? 2. Will the story telling activity using creative storybook effect on fostering the young children's emotional perspective-taking ability?
The thirty eight 5 years old children were selected randomly as participants of this study and then random allocated to the experimental group and control group equally. Pre and post test were performed on the two groups. The 12 creative storybooks that were related to the child's everyday life for experiment were carefully selected.
The story telling activity using the creative storybooks applied to the experimental group and the regular program of kindergarten was applied to the control group. Total 12 sessions were performed and the gathered data were analyzed (t-test) using SPSS 14.0.
According to the results, the story telling activity using creative storybook was effective on the fostering of young children's perspective-taking ability. Hence, utilization of such the story telling activity using creative storybook will have a positive influence on fostering a child's perspective-taking ability, providing the users with an apt teaching method for developing a child's social ability.
