본 연구의 목적은 서울시내에 위치한 고등학교에 재학 중인 학생들을 대상으로 창의성 검사와 성격유형 검사를 실시하여, 전반적인 창의성 수준을 알아보고, 상관관계를 분석해 보고자 함이다. 본 연구에 참여한 학생은 남학생 269명, 여학생 199명으로 총 468명이었다. MBTI 성격유형 중 내향(I)-외향(E) 유형, 판단(J)-인식(P) 유형, 사고(T)-감정(F)형과 창의성과는 유의적인 관련성을 보이지는 않았다. 그러나 감각(S)-직관(N) 유형의 차이에 따라 비교해 보았을 때 직관형에서 추상성, 정교성, 종결에 대한 저항이 유의적으로 높게 나타났고, 이를 종합하여 평가한 창의지수도 유의적으로 높게 나타났다.
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the character type and the creativity of high school students in Seoul. It was performed in 468 high school students in Seoul. Five factors of creativity were tested and compared according to the each pair of MBTI character types[Introversion(I)-Extraversion(E), Judgement(J)-Perception(P), Thinking(T)-Feeling(F), Sensing(S)-Intuition(N)]. Creativity factors were not significantly different between I type and E type as well as J type and P type. On the other hand, a fluency index among the all 5 creativity factors was higher in F type than in T type. In addition, the abstract, the elaboration and the resistance for the end were significantly higher in N type than in S type. Keywords: Character type, Creativity, Intuition type
