본 연구는 유아의 어머니에 대한 애착안정성과 유아의 정서지능과의 관계를 알아보기 위하여 3세 유아 35명과 4세 유아 32명을 대상으로 유아의 애착안정성을 애착 Q-set로 측정하고 정서지능은 교사에 의한 평정방법을 적용하여 분석을 하였다. 3세와 4세간의 정서지능의 차이를 살펴본 결과 자기인식에서만 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 애착의 안정성과 정서지능과의 관계에서는 전체 정서지능뿐 아니라 타인인식 및 타인조절 능력과 유의한 상관이 있었으며, 회귀분석결과는 애착안정성이 전체정서지능과 타인인식 및 타인조절 능력을 유의하게 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 안정된 애착을 형성한 유아가 정서지능이 높을 뿐 아니라 타인의 감정을 공감하고 타인과 원만한 대인관계를 맺을 수 있는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 그러나 이러한 상관이나 설명력은 3세 유아의 경우는 나타나지 않아 이에 대한 후속 연구의 필요성에 대하여 논의하였다.
In this study the relationship between the security of children\'s attachment and their emotional intelligence was examined in 35 children of 3years old and 32 children of 4 years old. The security of attachment was evaluated by attachment Q-set and the emotional intelligence was evaluated by teachers\' rating. The results revealed that the security of attachment was significantly correlated with total emotional intelligence score, appraisal and expression of other\'s emotion, and regulation of other\'s emotion(interpersonal relation). The results of simple regression analysis confirmed the contribution of the security of attachment to the emotional intelligence. However these results were not found in 3 years old children.
