본 연구는 직업군인의 자녀가 지각한 부모의 양육행동이 청소년기 외로움과 자기상으로 본 심리사회적 발달에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구대상은 직업군인의 중․고등학생 자녀 326명이다. 자료분석을 위해 단순회귀분석과 중다회귀분석이 실시되었다. 직업군인 자녀가 지각한 부모 각각의 불신행동은 외로움을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났으며, 관심과 가르침의 양육행동은 외로움을 해소하는데 도움을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지각된 부모의 불신행동은 자기상으로 본 심리적 발달 요인에 부정적인 자기상을 갖도록 하는것으로 나타났고, 가족 및 친구관계, 대처능력과 신체상 등 사회적 발달 영역에도 부정적인 자기상을 갖도록 하였다. 그러나 지각된 부모의 관심 행동은 정서상태에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 군인 아버지의 존중 행동은 친구관계를 제외한 모든 사회적 발달 요인에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지각된 부모 모두의 관심행동은 가족관계와 적응력에 긍정적 발달을 돕는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 직업군인의 부모 양육행동은 자아정체감의 형성시기인 청소년기 자녀의 외로움과 전반적인 심리사회적 발달 영역의 자기상에 의미 있는 영향을 미치는 것이 입증되었다.
The purpose of this study was to better understand the influence of parenting behavior as perceived by the children of professional soldiers going through adolescence in terms of both their loneliness and their psycho-social development in relation to their self-image. The subjects of this research consisted of 326 middle and high school students who are also the children of professional soldiers. The data thus collected were analyzed by means of both simple- and multi-regression analysis. The levels of distrust behavior of fathers and mothers resulted in increased levels of adolescent loneliness, and had a negative influence upon the adolescents' psychological and social development in terms of their self-image. However, their levels of attention and participation in lessons tended to reduce this. The attention received by and recognized by the children appeared to have a positive influence on their emotional status. The family relationship and degree of adjustment was also positively affected by the parents' levels of attention. With the exception of peer relationships, the degree of fathers' respect behavior directed to their children tended to improve their social development factors in terms of self-image. In conclusion, the parenting behavior of professional soldiers may affect the loneliness and psycho-social development in terms of self-image of their children during adolescence, while their ego-identity is being formed.
