본 연구의 목적은 한국, 미국, 일본, 영국, 독일, 호주, 이탈리아의 보조기기 데이터베이스 종합정보 사이트 9개를 평가하고 비교분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 사이트의 콘텐츠(사이트의 신뢰성, 최신성, 정보의 위상,정보가치, 정보품질)와 사용성(그래픽과 디자인, 내비게이션, 속도, 접근 용이성)을 평가하는 평가도구 제작과 사이트 검색 절차를 거쳐 두 명의 연구자가 한국의 한국장애인고용공단, 경기도재활공학서비스연구지원센터,미국의 Abledata와 Closing The Gap, 일본의 재단법인 테크노에이드협회, 영국의 EmpTech, 독일의 Rehadat, 호주의 National Independent Living Centres Australia, 이탈리아의 Servizio Informazione e Valutazione Ausili를 평가하였다. 두 연구자 모두가 가장 높은 점수로 평가한 사이트는 Abledata, Rehadat,EmpTech이었다. 해당 사이트들은 광범위한 보조기기와 관련 정보들을 신속하고 정확하며 자세하게 제공하고 모든 사람들이 사용할 수 있도록 사용성과 접근성을 고려하여 구축․운영되고 있었다. 본 연구는 국내외 보조기기 데이터베이스 종합정보 사이트의 유용성 평가를 통해 높은 품질의 종합정보 사이트를 위해 필요한 요소들을 탐색하였다는데 의의가 있다.
The purpose of the study was to analyze comparatively by evaluating 9 assistive devices internet portals in Korea, United States of America, Japan, England, German, Australia and Italy. After constructing an evaluation tool of website content (authority, currency, information status, information value and information quality) and usability (graphics & design, navigation, speed and access) and searching internet portals for the study, two researchers evaluated the selected internet sites; Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled and GyeongGi-Do Assistive Technology Research & Assistance Center of Korea, Abledata and Closing The Gap of United States of America, Association for Technical Aids of Japan, EmpTech of England, Rehadat of German, National Independent Living Centres Australia of Australia and Servizio Informazione e Valutazione Ausili of Italy. Both researchers evaluated Abledata, Rehadat and EmpTech the best. The three sites provided recent, precise, and specific information on a wide rage of assistive devices and related data. Also, those sites were established and operated by usability and accessibility standards for all people. The study explored the aspects of high quality internet portals on assistive devices and related data through evaluating the selected sites.
