The purpose of this study was to come up with elementary English teaching and learning method using debateㆍdiscussion by means of task-based learning. In order to achieve this purpose, I looked into the concepts, methods, principles, and merits of this kind of class. Based on this theory, I described the real teaching and learning
methods related to this sort of class. The best way of this kind of teaching and learning is to utilize the task in the elementary English classroom. Elementary school students are able to learn English more effectively through task activities, pre-task activity, task activity, post-task activity, using debateㆍdiscussion. Furthermore, In the elementary classroom, all the teachers need to teach their students based on the levels. In particular, they need to teach their students mainly focusing on the intermediate level. In this sort of class, the advanced and novice students should collaborate with the intermediate students. It can be concluded that all the teachers need to teach their students using collaborative learning through task-based learning. It is also recommended that a lot of these kinds of teaching and learning methods should be devised and developed in the elementary English classroom. As a result of these efforts, the elementary students will be able to be interested in and participate
in this kind of class actively.
