본 연구의 목적은 ‘케이팝 데몬 헌터스’의 성공 요인을 규명하고, 그 문화적⋅기술적 특징을 학교 음악교육학적 관점에서 분석함으로써, 21세기 한국 음악교육이 나아가야 할 방향을 제시하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 기존 K-Pop과 다른 방식으로 제작되고 유통된 ‘케이팝 데몬 헌터스’의 사례를 중심으로, 관련 문헌과 인터뷰 자료 등을 종합적으로 분석하는 질적 문헌 분석과 콘텐츠 음악⋅서사⋅시각 요소에 대한 사례 기반 통합 분석을 결합한 통합적 분석 연구방식을 사용하였다. 연구 결과, ‘케이팝 데몬 헌터스’는 제작 주체의 다양성과 디지털 기반 창작을 통해 한국적 정서를 유지하면서도 세계인과 공감할 수 있는 글로벌 음악 정체성을 새롭게 형성한 사례로 확인되었으며, 다음의 네 가지 음악교육학적 시사점이 도출되었다. 첫째, 한국적 정체성을 기반으로 다양한 문화에 대한 감수성 교육이 필요하다. 둘째, AI 및 디지털 창작 역량을 강화하는 디지털 리터러시 교육이 확대되어야 한다. 셋째, 음악과 시각 예술⋅애니메이션⋅미디어아트가 결합된 융합예술 교육이 필요하다. 넷째, 세계와 소통할 수 있는 글로벌 음악 커뮤니케이션 능력을 배양해야 한다. 결론적으로 ‘케이팝 데몬 헌터스’는 전통과 현대, 지역성과 세계성이 융합된 미래형 음악교육 모델을 보여주는 사례로써, 한국 음악교육이 나아갈 방향을 구체적으로 제시한다는 점에서 중요하다.
The purpose of this study is to identify the success factors of K-pop Demon Hunters and to analyze its cultural and technical characteristics from a music pedagogical perspective, thereby suggesting the direction for Korean school music education in the 21st century. Accordingly, this study employs an integrative research design that combines qualitative literature review and interview analysis with case-based analysis of musical, narrative, and visual elements, focusing on K-pop Demon Hunters as an alternative model of K-Pop production and distribution. The research confirmed that K-pop Demon Hunters maintained Korean sentiments while leading to the deterritorialization and expansion of music through the diversity of production entities and digital-based creation, and four musical educational implications were derived. First, multicultural sensitivity education based on Korean identity is necessary. Second, digital literacy education that strengthens AI and digital creative capabilities should be expanded. Third, there is a need for convergence arts education that combines music, visual arts, animation, and media art. Fourth, we must cultivate global musical communication skills that allow us to communicate with the world. In conclusion, K-pop Demon Hunters is important as an example of a future-oriented music education model that combines tradition and modernity, locality and globality, and it specifically suggests the direction for Korean music education.
