The purpose of this study was (1) To investigate primary school teachers\' attitudes towards School Lifelong Education(SLE) and (2) To extract several useful implications for promoting SLE. This study collected data from 274 primary school teachers(incIuding principals and vice principals) using purposive sampling. Frequency analysis and cross table analysis were used to analyze the data. This study has several significant implications for the promotion of SLE.
First, the Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development (MOE&HRD) needs to create a positive lifelong learning environment to support SLE at no extra job for the teachers. Second, MOE&HRD needs to support students from a low-income bracket to enroll in SLE programs. Third, MOE&HRD needs to set several criteria for recruiting qualified instructors and to create a human resources pool. Fourth, each primary school needs to create a variety of
programs in order to meet community residents\' needs. Finally, MOE&HRD needs to supply facilities, teaching materials, and teaching aids sufficient to operate SLE.
