It becomes to be essential for firms to build up collaboration ecosystem with diverse entities and to
be common for firms to absorb tangible or intangible knowledge from external environment and to
transfer technological or knowledge asset to other firms through open innovation. Nevertheless, these
activities are concentrated on the large-sized firms in Metropolitan area and still not common in
small-and-medium-sized firms in the province. Hereto, this research studies the case for a university to
accelerate collaboration with small-and-medium-sized firms as a network promoter by tieing-up with
various entities in the surrounding regional ecosystem. A university invites small-and-medium-sized
enterprises with problems and provide them solutions with professionals from universities, companies, and
public organizations with intervention of a facilitator in Clinic Day. This study derives success factors
with surveys with issue owners and consultants and the case analysis. We provide a model for university
-industry networking with regional organization for small-and-medium-sized firms in the province.
