This study aims to explore the current status of retention of books related to disability issues among children\'s literature which kindergartens in Yongin-City have placed and to examine how much contents regarding disability issues are being presented in those books. In addition the current study analyzed how the books covered disability issues and people with disabilities. This research was conducted at 16 places which responded to the questionnaire among 127 places of public․private kindergartens which are located in Yongin-City. The findings indicates that first, books related to disability issues which kindergartens currently owen were 40 books (0.45%) among the total books of 8,950. Second, as for the type of the disability which appeared in children\'s books, the physical disability(19) appeared most among other types of disabilities. Third, as for the conceptions on disability issues which appeared in children\'s books, relatively negative understanding including refusal of friendly relations(29.17%) and overestimation of ability (18.75%) was discovered. Based on these findings, we discussed the way how information and its forms related to disability issues should be provided in children\'s books.
