이 연구는 체육수업에 대한 초등 교사들의 중요도와 실행도를 동시에 비교하는 IPA분석을 통해 초등교사들이 현 실적으로 실천 가능한 좋은 체육수업은 어떠한 특징을 갖는지 알아봄으로써 체육수업컨설팅에 필요한 정보 제공 을 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 광주광역시와 전남에 소재한 초등학교 교사 총 300명(여교사:168명, 남교 사:119명)을 유층표본추출 방법을 통해 연구대상을 선정하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 초등교 사들은 체육수업이 중요하다고 인식하는 만큼 그에 따른 실행 역시 잘 하고 있는 체육수업의 강점항목으로‘학생 의 흥미를 고려한 수업’, ‘교사와 학생간 활발한 상호작용’, ‘균등한 기회 부여’를 하는 수업을 좋은 체육수업으로 인식하였다. 둘째, 초등교사들은 체육수업 시 중요도는 높으나 실행도가 낮은 항목으로‘물리적 환경이 잘 갖추어 진 수업 환경’과 ‘다양한 매체를 활용하는 수업’그리고‘공정하고 타당한 수행평가’가 좋은 체육수업을 실천하기에 취약하고 힘든 부분으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등교사들은 체육수업 운영 시 중요도와 실행도가 모두 낮은 항목으로 ‘학생에게 선택권과 권한 부여’, ‘자율적인 수업 분위기’, ‘지식 이해와 적용 평가’로 나타났다. 넷째, 초등교사들은 체육수업 시 중요도는 낮지만 실행도가 과도하게 높은 항목으로‘분명한 수업목표 제시’와 ‘규칙을 통한 철저한 학 생관리 수업’을 꼽았다. 이러한 점을 감안해 볼 때 현재 각 지역교육청에서 실시하고 있는 교실수업개선을 위한 자율장학이 앞으로는 공개수업 때만 실천되어지는 일회성 지도가 아닌 평소 수업에서도 실천 가능한 내용으로 체육수업 장학이 운영되어야 할 것이다.
The quality of teaching is related to the student's learnig outcomes. Good Teaching supports and aids students in achieving high-quality learning. The purpose of the present study was to analyze the conceptions on 'good teaching' of physical education teachers in elementary school. 287(168 females and 119 males) elementary teachers in subjected to the study, were selected from elementary school in Gwang ju city and Cheon-nam province. the survery instrument used for the study, called the 'Questionnaire for consisted of 44 questions on perspectives and characteristics of good teaching. The results of the study were summarized as follow: Fist, it was founded that importat perspective of good teaching for physical education was forming the ordering of relationships. Second, it was also summarized that characteristics of good physical education teaching was such as: contents motivating students and adapting learner's prior knowledge was important factor, whereas higher level thinking skills was less level of conception; active interaction between teacher and learners was important factor, whereas giving much interaction between teacher and learners was important factor, whereas giving much responsibility to learners was less level of conception; helpful technologies and active interaction were important factor, Performance evaluation closely linked to instructional activities was the most important characteristic with cognitive, affective, and psycho-motor domains. lastly, form the results of importance-performance analysis, the characteristics of good teaching in the 'concentrate here' area were 'effective utilization of instructional technologies' and 'instructional environment' with proper physical equipments. The recommendation that I have come up with is to introduce subject teachers that will teach physical education in the elementary school system for students from grade 3 to 6. I would also suggest that a physical education department be set up along with physical education teachers as an alternative to the current system where the homeroom teacher is responsible for teaching this subject.
