본 연구는 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 예비유아교사교육 프로그램을 개발하고, 개발된 프로그램의 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 유아기 창의성 발달의 중요성을 고려해볼 때, 예비유아교사는 교사양성과정 동안 창의성에 대한 이해를 높이고 스스로의 창의성을 개발하며 현장에서 적용할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 구성하고 적용해 보는 경험이 필요하다. 본 프로그램은 12차시의 활동으로 구성되어 있고 예비유아교사들의 창의적 경험을 높이기 위해 매차시마다 다양한 활동유형과 매체를 사용하였으며 모의수업활동과 소집단활동을 격려하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울 및 수도권에 위치한 4개 대학의 예비유아교사로 이들은 보육실습 및 유아교육실습을 마쳤다. 실험집단은 본 프로그램에 참여한 예비유아교사 49명이고, 통제집단은 본 프로그램에 참여하지 않은 예비유아교사 38명이다. 수집된 자료는 평균, 표준편차, 다변량공분산분석(MANCOVA), 판별분석, 공변량분석(ANCOVA)을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 본 연구에서 개발한 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 예비유아교사교육 프로그램은 예비유아교사의 창의성 증진 및 유아 창의성 교육에 대한 자신감을 향상시키는 데 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study was to develop a Pre-service Teacher Education Program to enhance children's creativity and to examine the effectiveness of the program. The participants of this study were 87 pre-service teachers in Seoul, Kyungggi-do, and Chungcheong-do, Korea. Forty-eight pre-service teachers were assigned to the control group and thirty-nine pre-service teachers were assigned to the experimental group. Pre-service teachers in the experimental group participated in this program for 12 sessions over the course of 12 weeks. The main purpose of this program is to arouse pre-service teachers’ awareness of their own creative abilities and introducing basic concepts of creativity and how to nurture creativity within the classroom setting. MANCOVA, ANCOVA and canonical discriminant analyses were performed for the purposes of data analyses. A significant difference was found between those receiving this program and those receiving the control treatment on a creative thinking test and creative problem solving tasks which were given to the subjects following the program. The findings obtained indicated that the program was successful in developing pre-service teachers’ creative thinking and in helping them to learn the skills which are related to creative thinking and how to nurture greater levels of creativity in the classroom.
