본 연구는 가정에서 생활하면서 미래에 거주시설 이용을 구상하고 있는 성인 지적장애인을 대상 으로, 불가피하게 가정을 떠나야 하는 경우 그들이 중요하게 생각하여 선택하기를 원하는 거주시설 의 특성과 그 모형을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 가정에서 생활하는 성인 지적장애인을 대상으 로 Q방법론을 활용하여 조사를 실시하였다. 조사 결과, 성인 지적장애인 당사자들이 거주시설 서비스를 선택하는 유형의 특성은 다섯 가지 로 추출되었다. 다섯 가지 유형의 전체 설명력은 48%였으며, 이 중 유형 1은 15%, 유형 2는 10%, 유형 3은 9%, 유형 4는 7%, 유형 5는 7%를 차지했다. 유형 1은 개인의 자율성을 중시하는 유형, 유형 2는 지원서비스를 중시하는 유형, 유형 3은 인간관계를 중시하는 유형, 유형 4는 운영 신뢰를 중시하는 유형, 유형 5는 외부와의 교류를 중시하는 유형이었다. 본 연구의 결과는 거주시설 개편을 위한 장애인복지법 개정 이후에 구체적인 후속 작업이 진행 중인 시점에서 가정에서 생활하는 성인 지적장애인 당사자가 요구하는 다양한 미래의 거주시설유 형 및 그 실천적 모형을 제안하는 논리적 근거를 제공한다는 점에서 의미를 갖는다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate types of residential accommodation that adults with intellectual disability want when they should leave their original home. For this purpose, we conducted a face to face survey with adults with intellectual disability and drew perception types of residential accommodation through Q methodology. As a result of survey, there are five types of residential accommodation that adults with intellectual disability recognize. Total explanation percentage is 48%, and type 1 explains 15%, type 2 - 10% type 3 - 9%. type 4 - 7%, and type 5 - 7%. Type 1 can be classified as the housing option that lays stress on individual autonomy. And other types lay stress on the following.; type 2 - supportive services(or program) by service provider, type 3 - human relationship, type 4 ? trust on operation of institute, and type 5 ? interchange with outside community. This research is meaningful in that it tried to consider recognitions of intellectually disabled people. Results will also be useful to map out future support and make guidances to facilitate reform of the residential services and residential accommodation for intellectually disabled people.
