대학에서 사회복지학을 전공하고 사회복지실천현장에 진출하는 신규사회복지사들은 흔히 대학교육과 현장실천과의 비연관성 때문에 어려움을 경험하는 경우가 발생한다. 이는 대학이 실제 현장에서 사회복지전문직으로서의 효율적인 역할 수행에 필요한 교육을 충실히 해내지 못하고 있는 측면이 있기 때문이다. 본 연구는 사회복지현장교육의 내실화를 통하여 준비된 사회복지사를 양성하기 위한 하나의 방안으로서 사회복지 인턴십 프로그램을 현장교육강화를 위한 한 모델로서 제시하기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌다. 본 프로그램은 전체 여섯 개의 단계로 구성되는데 이들은 각각 사회복지현장의 이해, 자원봉사론, 사회복지현장 자원봉사활동, 사회복지현장실습, 사회복지현장실습세미나, 그리고 사회복지심화실습이다. 본 프로그램의 적용을 통하여 효율적인 현장연계교육이 이루어진다면 실천학문으로서의 사회복지학의 정체성과 전문성 강화에 이바지하게 될 것이다.
Brand-new social workers who have just graduated from college often encounter job related difficulties due to the fact that college education and practice in the real field are not perfectly matched. That means, the school does not provide necessary education to perform proper role as a qualified social work professional. This study aims to produce ‘prepared social worker’ through providing good model for social work field education which we called “social work internship program”. This program is consisted of six steps. They are “Understanding of social work field”, “Volunteerism”, “Volunteer activity in social work areas”, “Social work field education”, “The seminar in social work field education”, and “Social work intensive field education”. By applying this program, the students have better chance to receive efficient field related education and eventually it will be useful to strengthen identity of social work education as an applied science.
