본 연구는 장기복무자 전역지원교육과정 중에서 가장 중요한 의의를 가지고 있는 것 중의 하나인 소집 · 취업소양교육과정을 대상으로 교육생들의 속성이 교육효과 인식에 영향을 미치는지 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 교육입교자들의 속성을 군별, 계급, 학력, 근무년수, 연금수급여부, 연령 등으로 나누고 이런 속성 차이에 따라 교육효과 인식에 차이가 있는지 분석하였다. 분석결과를 보면, 장기복무대상자들은 속성별로 다양한 욕구수준을 보이고 있었지만 교육효과 인식에 있어서는 특별한 차이를 발견하지 못했다. 이런 이유에 대해서는 비록 통합교육과정이지만 취업과 창업 등 교육생들이 상대적으로 더욱 관심 있는 분야별로 분반 등을 통해 교육을 진행한 점이 주요 원인이었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 앞으로 대상별로 과정을 세분화하는 것은 더욱 어려워질 것으로 보이는 상황에서 사전에 대상별 속성과 이에 따른 욕구를 충분히 검토하여 사안별로 적정하게 대응하는 것이 중요할 것으로 판단한다.
This study aims to suggest an improvement education policy for the support process of effective occupation change for discharged soldiers and then role assignments among related institutions for supporting discharged soldiers such as Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. Especially, Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs implements several programs to help discharged soldiers smooth their transition into civilian life. By education for social settlement, Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs provides educational assistance for job training and those individuals wishing to start their own businesses. Veterans or soon to be discharged service members who served over 10 years or more are eligible. The purpose of this study is to analysis the educational effectiveness recognition for discharged soldiers who have served 10 years or more and to suggest alternatives to improve the educational effect of education for social settlement. This study was implemented based on the data of questionnaire for elementary employment knowledge course managed by Korea Education and Research Institute for Patriots & Veterans. According to this study, the elementary employment knowledge course to help discharged soldiers smooth their transition into civilian life and do not need to divide for level by property of educatee.
