The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of participation motivation of university ski class on class
satisfaction and exercise flow. Data were collected from 320 students of J University in Chungcheongnam-do and M University
in Jeonlanam-do. We used SPSS 15.0 program to get reliability and factor analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression
analysis and the following conclusions were drawn.
First, the correlation of exercise flow with ski class participation motivation and class satisfaction showed statistically
significant differences in most factors except for several factors(p<.05). Second, in the case of the effects of participation
motivation on class satisfaction, significant differences in pleasure(p<.01), external orientation, amotivation(p<.05), whereas in
class environment satisfaction, there were significant differences in health/condition, external orientation, and sense of
achievement(p<.01). Finally, in exercise ability satisfaction, significant differences in pleasure(p<.01), health/condition and sense
of achievement were found(p<.05). Third, in the case of the effects of participation motivation on exercise flow, cognitive flow,
significant differences were found in pleasure, sense of achievement(p<.001), and amotivation(p<.01), whereas in behavior flow,
there were significant differences in pleasure and sense of achievement(p<.01). These research results suggest that ski class
participation motivation has a strong relation to class satisfaction and exercise flow.
