본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 정체감 스타일을 살펴보고||| 정체감 스타일과 자아정체감 지위 와의 관계 그리고 정체감 스타일에 따른 우연기술의 차이를 확인하고자 하였다. 본 연구에 서는 대학생 474명(남 263명||| 여 211명)을 대상으로 정체감 스타일 척도||| 자아정체감 지위 척도||| 우연기술 척도로 구성된 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫 째||| 정보지향적 스타일은 규범지향적 스타일||| 혼미/회피지향적 스타일과 유의미한 상관을 갖 고 있었으나 규범지향적 스타일과 혼미/회피지향적 스타일간에는 유의미한 상관이 존재하지 않았다. 둘째||| 정체감 스타일의 분포에서 유의미한 성차가 확인되었다. 셋째||| 정체감 스타일 에 따른 정체감지위 분포에는 유의미한 차이가 있었으나 Berzonsky의 이론과는 다른 양상으 로 나타났다. 넷째||| 유실과 혼미지위에서 관여수준에 따라 정체감 스타일의 분포에 유의미 한 차이가 존재하고 있었다. 다섯째||| 정체감 스타일에 따라 우연기술에 유의미한 차이가 있 는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 개인의 정체감 연구에서 정체감 스타일의 유용함을 알 수 있었으며||| 미래에 진로 상담 및 지도를 위한 새로운 지침 방향을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Berzonsky's identity style and Marcia’s identity status||| and to understand how identity style was related to happenstance skills. In addition||| we investigated the distribution of identity style by identity status in term of the level of commitment. A total of 474 college students (263 male and 211 female students) participated in the study. The participants completed questionnaires on identity style||| identity status||| and happenstance skills. The results were as follows. First||| there were significant relationships between norm-oriented identity style and other identity styles. However||| there was no discernible relationship between norm-oriented and diffuse/avoidance-oriented identity style. Second||| there were significant gender differences in terms of the distribution of identity style. Third||| there were significant distinctions in terms of the frequency between identity style and identity status. Fourth||| in foreclosure and diffusion status||| there were significant differences in terms of the distribution of identity style depending on their commitment level. Fifth||| college students with order information-oriented||| norm-oriented||| and diffuse/avoidance-oriented identity styles reported higher scores on happenstance skills. Through this research||| we found the importance of career identity style in identity studies and identified new guidelines for future career counseling.
